About Us

Ukrainian Food and Agriculture Export Secretariat (UAFES) works on a non-commercial basis to support Ukrainian companies in their capacity to export to global markets. Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, Europian Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and EU4Business Initiative launched UAFES as a part of their joint export development project in Ukraine.

We work closely with Ukraine’s business associations in agricultural sectors with the highest export potential: dairy, beef, flour and milling, confectionary, organic, horticulture, and honey. We boost their ability to open new export markets.

We don’t do all the work for businesses to get them to the global markets. All our beneficiaries have to meet the world’s quality standards for production, storage, and packaging. We are here to build Ukraine’s export capacity through:

Strategy and research. We provide comprehensive market data, analytics, and research and work closely with all participants of value chains to develop sector export strategies.

Trade events and missionsWe support companies’ participation in the world’s top trade exhibitions to make sure that the best of Ukrainian food finds its way to every corner of the world. We organize strong trade b2b missions and help open new markets through business matching.

Best practice and synergyWe build bridges between the government and business and support business associations on their ways to becoming industry’s centers for innovation and best practice accumulation. We provide high-quality export development training and ensure that Ukraine’s agricultural businesses have access to the world’s best expertise and consultancy.

  • Ukrainian confectionary products at Redmart (Alibaba Group), Southeast Asia ’s top online retailers.
  • Ukraine’s food company’s and associations’ pavilions at world’s most prominent trade events: Gulfood, SIAL Paris, Asia Fruit Logistica, BIOFACH, Apimondia and others.
  • Professional events that gather hundreds of experts from all over the world.

And many other success stories of our beneficiaries. And moreover – we’re happy to be a part of this exciting journey: from field or farm – to a shelf.
